SIGNS and SYMMPTOMS

DOCTORS

Here is a list of doctors that we know are well informed on Valley Fever and know what they are doing.  All doctors who have graduated from the U of AZ in Tucson, have had to take extensive courses on Valley Fever and should know it, and be able to treat you.  It is the same for doctors who have graduated from some California medical schools.  You should feel comfortable regarding treatment from anyone of them.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO ASK YOUR DOCTOR:
1) What is his or her knowledge regarding Valley Fever;
2) How confident is the doctor in treating Valley Fever;
3) How many years experience does the doctor have in treating Valley Fever;
4) How many patients does the doctor treat annually and how many in total: and,
5) If not comfortable diagnosing or treating Valley Fever, does he know of a doctor who does?
These questions are standard interview questions of any doctor for any illness.  You must be proactive.  If the doctor gets hostile, he is not the right doctor for you or anyone, and you need to find a doctor who will communicate with you.  Your health is in your hands when it comes to Valley Fever, as most doctors and medical communities in Arizona are unaware of this disease as you are.
